Split Asphalt Driveway in Lower Chittering

Located in the semi-rural region of Lower Chittering, this asphalt driveway needed a slightly different look to a usual single lane driveway. To deal with the coming and going of various vehicles to a home and shed, the client was interested in a split asphalt driveway design. Not only did the client want the vehicles around the premise to move with ease, but he also wanted the driveway to be easy to navigate and to be aesthetically appealing. Our NK Asphalt team was up to the task, installing a new double driveway surfaced with red oxide gravel asphalt.

How We Installed This New Driveway in Lower Chittering

Aware of the concerns and goals of our client, we worked closely on this project to design and surface an asphalt driveway which not only served a functional purpose, but was aesthetically pleasing too.

Driveway Design

The new Lower Chittering driveway was carefully designed to not only allow for the easy movement of vehicles, but to add aesthetic appeal to the property. The driveway design was intentionally designed with:

Installing the Flush Kerbing

To compliment the asphalt driveway, a flush, or flat, kerb was installed. This concrete kerb offers a contrast against the red soil and asphalt drive, whilst complimenting the colours of the home and shed. It effortlessly creates a smooth transition from the driveway to the surrounding areas, making it feel like part of the wider landscape and property.

With its minimal, flat appearance, the kerb provides benefits associated with kerbing, such as protection of the asphalt driveway, easy navigation out to areas behind the kerb and can reduce weed / grass ingress at the perimeter.
